Peter Paden, Executive Director of the Columbia Land Conservancy, will be at the Chatham Public Library to talk about the CLC’s role in the community and the importance of cultivating connection to the land. Since its founding in 1986, the Columbia Land Conservancy has collaborated with partners to preserve the County’s vibrant rural character. They have conserved more than 30,000 acres of farmland, forests, and wildlife habitat to ensure clean air and water, healthy ecosystems, a strong agricultural sector, and a rich variety of outdoor recreational activities. Join us at the library to learn more!
Sponsored by the Friends of the Chatham Public Library, Paden’s talk is a continuation of the group’s Authors and Artists series. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
