The Friends of the Chatham Public Library  is a volunteer organization whose goal is to support the Chatham Library in a manner that is consistent with the Library’s own goals. The Friends have been granted not for profit 501C(3) status, making all donations tax-deductible.

Funds received by the Friends are used to sponsor a variety of programs and events, including the Authors and Artists Series of talks, the Museum Pass Program, the coffee cart, and the Summer Reading Program for children.

Membership Information:

More than half the money raised by the Friends comes from individual donations, and is supplemented by grants. Persons can contribute any amount. The Friends have these categories: Student/Senior $15, Individual $25, Family $35, Benefactor $50, Patron $100, Lifetime $500
