The Friends of the Chatham Public Library  is a volunteer organization whose goal is to support the Chatham Library in a manner that is consistent with the Library’s own goals. The Friends have been granted not for profit 501C(3) status, making all donations tax-deductible.

Funds received by the Friends are used to sponsor a variety of programs and events, including the Authors and Artists Series of talks, the Museum Pass Program, the Summer Reading Program for children, InstantFlix, which allows patrons to stream hundreds of films in their own homes, and NewsBank, providing access to the Hudson Register-Star and other NY newspapers.
