Authors & Artists: Saturday, May 8th at 3:30pm with Ellen Kanner

Join us on Zoom to hear Ellen Kanner read excerpts from her book, “Feeding the Hungry Ghost.” More than a vegan cookbook, it’s seasoned with stories that will make you stand up and cheer, and gentle nudges that aim to serve up what we’re hungry for: a more vital self, more loving and meaningful connections, a nourished and nourishing world, and great food, too. She will be sharing a seasonal plant-based recipe to bring the message home in a delicious way!
Ellen Kanner is the soulful vegan award-winning author of Feeding the Hungry Ghost: Life, Faith and What to Eat for Dinner (VegNews’ Book of the Year, PETA’s debut Book of the Month Club pick), a vegan cookbook with value-add. She’s also the author of e-books, Beans: A Handful of Magic and Conscious Cookery.  She’s been writing about the intersection of food, wellness, culture, and sustainability for over 20 years for outlets including Huffington Post, Civil Eats, Saveur, EatingWell, VegNews, the Miami Herald, and Whole Foods Magazine.
Ellen writes using food as a lens through which we can explore everything — the environment, education, wellness, pleasure, politics, social justice, inspiration, culture, connection. Food is about everything we bring to the table, from who grows what we eat to who we share a meal with. She writes to awaken people to the way these things enrich our meals, but more importantly, our lives. More at soulfulvegan.com.
